A Great White Egret displaying breeding behavior and plumage caught in mid-bend during the mating dance, inviting the female to the nest he has built for her.

I am a multi-generational native of SW Florida and have spent my entire life in the swamps and woods and on the waters of SW Florida, and I fell in love with my little slice of the world. I learned about the birds, flora, fauna, and wildlife, and how it all ties together at the knees of my great grandparents, grandparents, parents, and other cherished family and friends. I am now a resident of the North Georgia Appalachian Mountains, and I am loving and learning all about the amazing natural world around us even more than even I thought possible.
